The African American Museum of Bucks County (AAMBC) understands the impact the pandemic continues to have on our local communities and families.
The job loss, medical, mental, and economic effects has made it difficult for many families to put food on the table. Food banks are at an all-time low and although a great resource for food, families are often met with long lines and scarce supplies.
AAMBC is partnering with local grocery stores and church organizations to identify families in their community and congregation that could benefit from this program.
How the program works:
AAMBC has partnered with local grocery chains to create a "shopping bag of foods that provides 2-3 meals to each family.
We have asked our non-profit and grocery chain partners to provide gift cards for each bag to supplement the cost of perishable items (meats, milk, egg, bread) in addition to the items in their bag.
AAMBC will contact the families provided by the church organizations for a "touch less" pickup or delivery.
Families need your help. Donate today.
Pandemic Relief Program
AAMBC will continue to provide the program monthly through the generosity of monetary donations of museum members, sponsors, and friends. AAMBC is a non-profit 501c3 organization tax ID – 46-4857132.
